£176 - Sweet! Just ordered the Gigabyte at bang on the price I hoped for. Apologies for asking the question originally that was locked, I didn't realise it would be a problem.

Re: What time will Scan release 4870

the only problem is scan debit your card straight for pre orders which is a personel feeling now that i am not comfortable with. If anything goes wrong you gotta wait weeks for a refund as i'm doing now.

Just to confirm - at the moment there is looking to be AT LEAST a week leadtime on these cards.

I'm afraid I was incorrect before.

We'll update the thread as soon as we have more updated information.

Yeah, come on Scan - pre-allocate and reserve stock, at your expense, cos my word is kosher...

Great price guys (as always) any news on when you will be getting the 1GB versions of the 4870?

Re: What time will Scan release 4870

I'm disappointed by this pricing structure, as in essence ALL the cards are identical atm. Please tell me why one card is £240 and another is £175 ? £65 difference for the same thing! It's discraceful.

Maybe if you kept an eye on your competitors such as Ebuyer who came in late with the 4850 at £125 all in, according to the reported stock levels they've sold 40 of these cards in the past 2 days...

I expected this sort of behaviour from OC, but I thought Scan had a better Price led reputation than this...

Re: What time will Scan release 4870

Pricing is realtime and based on the purchase price of the product.

If the cost is higher, it is reflected in the retail pricing.

Hang on, are you smoking pot? MANUFACTORER! Diff manufactorers sell for different prices, hence SCAN has to sell higher to make a profit. Do you understand retailing AT ALL? Or are you like 12? In essence yes, they are all the same. But try to find an XFX card for the same price than say, a palit card. Yeah thought as much.

I'm very impressed by the £175, that's not much more than the USD price.
