you get free delivery from SCAN remember.......

personally i wouldn't get DDR3, the performance doesn't justify the price hike
and i'd prolly get a Q6600, but it depends what your main usage of the puter is gonna be

    Re: thinking of ordering

reson why i had ddr3 was that the other build without ddr3 comes to 1384... so dont save that much..and that wasnt including the extra fans..

out of interest, wont i need a fan controller for the build sinse i will have most likely 5 fans in totaly, and i dont want them running extreamly fast ll day long and making a right old racket..

    or isnt this a problem??

    Re: thinking of ordering

it depends...if they are all hooked up to teh mobo then you can control them from the bios (or through speedfan)

if they're molex then you can do a volt mod on them to slow them down

and it doesn't really matter how many fans you have... as long as they're quiet

    i've got 5fans in my case and it's barely audible (3 P12's and 2 Y/L's in a Lian Li A05)

    Re: thinking of ordering

the thign was and from what i been reading, if you got just air cooling on your pc and have 3+fans ect thus having:

cpu, GPU, HD, ect+case fans it quite a lot of things to controle and thus need a fan controller to keep it stable and working properly otherwise it over revs or under revs

this is why t-balance may be usefull,

    Re: thinking of ordering

looked on that site but sadly it seems the latest reveiw was 2007 july and that was a cutom hand paint job.

be nice to see pictures of customer pcs thus give a real reveiw of what quality is like sinse 90% of these PC site reveiws mean PC company devotes more time into quality and can differ from REAL exspectaions i found...ie mesh..

going to phone them and see how much they can quote me for a system build

    Re: thinking of ordering

Most of our review systems are booked into build as a normal customers machine would be.

Meaning the build should be very similar

I would give the sales team a call and ask to speak with Paul Moss he will be able to assist you further.
