    thinking of ordering

Basicaly sinse a few shops and online places seem to have closed down due to credit issues, i looking into ordering a new rig from scan.

My main concern is i havnt realy heard about scans pc building quality nor customer service, i know they good at parts+price but the first 2 issues i not heard much on. quite varid.

Basicaly, it be nice to see some sort of pictures or comments from people who have bought a scan pre-build pc, and what they think of scan and the pc/quality ect.

my main concern is quality and cutomer service, but the latter seems to be ok.

    any help be great.

    Re: thinking of ordering

most people dont mention the scan built pc's unless they have a problem. and you dont see many posts about that..

now dont get me started on the bandwidth the mesh forum used until they gave up trying to offer support.

    Re: thinking of ordering

my main concern is that sinse it a large company, the build quality may be a little rushed, and customer service maybe like many others ie press 1 for pc problem press 2 for this ect ect.

main reson i say this is due to no reveiws from other customers which i can find nor pictures of people systems build by scan, which would show up the good and the bad build quality

compared to dell and mesh scan are a small comapny that use decent parts and do take pride in there work.

    Re: thinking of ordering

the thing is i havnt seen any customer reveiws or after sales reveiws nor cant find any pictures of systems build by scan for people, thus cannot realy judge their quality nor customer service for pre-built systems.

buying parts from them seems ok, but not sure weather to get a pre-build form them sinse they dont seem to be that many people here nor anywhere from which i can find saying anything about their quality/service atm.

(suggestion maybe::add a after sales section to forum where people can post comments and pictures if need be)

    Re: thinking of ordering

I purchased a 3XS system from Scan very recently, and it's an excellent system. Build quality is first class, and the personal service provided by the Scan team is exceptional.

Have a look at The Word on Scan's website for feedback from various other customers.

    Regards,

    Gordon

    Re: thinking of ordering

A gallery would be a nice idea.

If you'd like to adjust the fans etc - they can make some customisation on the spec I believe... within limits. (I'm not totally sure I'm afraid as I'm not really involved in systems these days...)

    Re: thinking of ordering

il give them a call and see what they can do how how much ect it will cost,

hopefuly there be a some sort of picture area where customers can post scan prebuilds/scan computers to show off the quality. sisne it allways hard to judge on pure words.

    Re: thinking of ordering

most companys skimp on things like PSU's etc and i'm pretty sure scan use branded through and through

prehaps, they should set up a piccy database.. or mebbe some of the guys could take some piccys just for you
