3XS Systems due for a refresh?

Guys, is something up with 3XS? It seems impossible to select an Nvidia card right now, the ATI options top out at the 3850, Blu-Ray drives are nowhere to be seen, and even a low-end Dell laptop can be configured with more RAM.

What gives?

All of them. The 3XS V3 Gamer(Intel), 3XS Entry-Level Intel® Core™2 Duo, 3XS Intel High End Intel® Core™2 Duo, 3XS Intel High End Nforce 7 System, 3XS Entry-Level AM2 System, and 3XS High-End AM2 System all list no Nvidia options. The 3XS 775 Home PC is the only one, which has an 8400.

Though judging by the expensive snake-related machine which appeared and disappeared in the last 30 seconds, the site's being actively hacked on.

The main things I'd say are seriously missing right now are current GPU options, 2GiB sticks of RAM (i.e. 4GiB from 2 slots), and Blu-Ray. Conversely, bravo for offering a decent PVA screen (the Dell) throughout, at a decent price.

I'm trying to spec up something along the lines of this for my dad from someone who doesn't make my skin crawl, but it's quite tricky.

any reason why the machines now list the inferior dell e248 instead of the lovely 2408? there's not really anything to distinguish between the three similarly priced 24 inchers - some models you've got like the dell 2408 or hyundai w240-pva actually stand out, albeit in price as well as spec

Hate to be a pain, but can you double-check the monitor choices? Scan sell two versions of the Hyundai W240D - a TN version, and a PVA version. With only ten quid between them, that makes the PVA version of the 240 one of the best value *guaranteed* PVA screens you guys sell.

It's not explicitly stated on the system configurator, but I think it's offering the TN version. Any change of offering the PVA instead, as a 65-quid-cheaper-than-dell alternative PVA screen rather than a fifty-quid-more-than-iiyama TN screen?

If it's any reassurance, I'm at the "finalising a spec" point with my dad

*edited*- but it seems to be going through the system anyway. tbh my dad is a bit confused now - can you double-check the order's being processed normall & payment is being taken normally? or ring him on the number on his account if not?
