I have always been an nvidia guy but changed over to ATI. Now got a HD4870x2 great card and quite cheap compared to nvidia value for money wise. Maybe you should consider moving to ATI. It should eat anything you throw at it. ALl games i have tested run at highest settings with easy bu overiously you will need a higher watt psu and a decent gpu. O and a couple gigs ram.
Wont the 285 be just as expensive? And be less powerfull? Its just a die-shrunken 280.
it MUST be cheaper otherwise people will buy the 295, unless they are adamant they don't want a dual GPU solution.
I'm adamant i don't want a dual GPU ever again.
I jumped on the bandwagon straight away with the 9800GX2 last year, something I regretted very quickly. And getting rid if it on ebay very soon after was a relief.
Single GPU for me now I think.......... But i'm a sucker for the latest and greatest......
I see that you can pre-order the GTX 295 circa £392 now in a few places.
Patience will be a virture here me thinks.

Never been a fan of dual-GPU until the 4870x2.....none of the previous issues seem apparent in this card.

Was just thinking about the whole 'today only' thing. Now dont get me wrong, i do tune into that link every single day, in the hope of bagging a bargain, so i'm not trying to bash scan as such, but...... If something is listed on 'today only', at a given price, should it not stay at that price until the following day (12pm for 24hrs as i understand it), or until stocks run out, at which point it should state as such. Anything else would seem like inaccurate advertising to me, and in the case of some items, a 'for the next 1 hour only' etc, would seem to fit more accurately.
Sometimes longer than 24hrs.....
TO offer's are only usually removed if:
1) The Retail price has changed, usually reduced resulting in the old offer price being higher than the new Retail price.
2) If stock has depleted and the ETA for new stock cannot be confirmed by the supplier / manufacturer.

Is this priced correctly? http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/256MB...-Video-SLi-OEM
This is an outdated card and I thought it would be very cheap now?
Sorry if it sounds like I'm moaning, I just though you might want to know?
