    GTX 295 price now

Was all set to post on here and applaud scan for setting the initiative and pricing the GTX 295 at a fairer price than other places. Well that didnt last long, and afraid scan that as a friend was set to buy one of your BFG cards (in stock) at @£420, he has now decided not to bother at the bumped up £459. I wonder where you got that idea from :-/

Our pricing is real time. If the selling price has increased, it means that the cost price has increased.

    Re: GTX 295 price now = /FAILED

My mistake then - i thought you sell the product based on what you bought them at. That card was in stock at the cheaper price. So you dont pay your supplier anything till you've sold the card?.

    Re: GTX 295 price now = /FAILED

FYI the BFG one is still at £420 on todayonly.

Too pricey for me though, I cant even justify upgrading to a card half that price.

    Re: GTX 295 price now = /FAILED

Our prices are based on our BUY price. We compare our prices against our closest competitors who have stock. In this case the price originally advertised was wrong and ridiculously low - I can confirm in this case the price change had nothing to do with an increase in our buy price.

The current price is competitive compared to our closest competitors and we have stock now and shipping.

Another reason we compare our prices is too ensure we are as competitive as possible and also to make sure we are not selling products too cheap.

    Regards

    Re: GTX 295 price now = /FAILED

Ok, i take it all back, as that is a very good price compared to other places, on launch day. I've let my mate know, who has now ordered his card. (never thought to look on 'today only' for a launch day product)

Please PM me the competitor link

I'll also suggest thinking before suggesting we are price fixing ! - A ridiculous comment that doesn't warrant any kind of other response.

    PM Sent.

Must be the "man flu" i've got this week, turning me nasty, sorry.

Basically you will sell at the highest price you can, of course you would, all business's would.

However it still is annoying to know you were selling the thing at £420 one minute then the next £459.
I noticed you did the same thing last week with the GTX 260 55nm Evga SSC.

The price changes makes most of 'today only prices' more expensive - to my untrained eye.

The other good news is that ATI are now dropping the price of the 4870X2's
