    RMA progress report please

    I returned two LN20818 drives which were found to be faulty.

    My replacement order is at the picking stage. The drives are showing as pre order with no ETA and have been for some time now.

    Rather than hang on indefinitely not knowing what's going on, would it be possible to have these drives replaced with two LN19855 (50% less cache ) which are currently on TO (as of 2 Feb 2009) for £57.99 (£10 more than the original drives )

    Call your local depot and see what they say, let me know if you want me to speak to City Link but i can only speak with our account holding depot, so it does complicate matters.

    CL customer services mentioned something about not being able to reach certain addresses. She checked her records and found the driver hadn't left a door description - doh!

    Rang my local depot, surprisingly the driver will be with me in 15 minutes.

    WD HDD tested as faulty

    Still waiting on a replacement.

    They're showing as in stock, I don't suppose someone could wrap one in 35 feet of bubble wrap and post it to me could they, pretty please?

    First batch of HDDs returned as faulty: 21 Jan 2009

    Confirmed as faulty: 27 Jan 2009

    Replacement HDDs (as per post #1) received: 03 Feb 2009

    One HDD returned as faulty: 05 Feb 2009

    Confirmed as faulty: 09 Feb 2009

    These are still showing as in stock (as at the time of this post).

    Any chance of an update please ?
