Delivery

Hi everyone,

Expecting a delivery by 1730 today but it is looking increasingly unlikely. I took the day off work especially for this and I really won't be around for a redelivery and probably not even to collect for a good time - it is a 50 mile round trip (No Edinburgh depot?? but that's another story!).

I read that they will attempt to redeliver the next day which is no good. I could collect it today at a push but need to leave soon, the depot is up the M8 and it is rush hour. I don't want to go out and miss their delivery though and I can't even get in contact with them to see if I am allowed to do this or where exactly my parcel is. The tracking number (AQB11237) just says it has been out for delivery since 9am so I'm thinking the driver's shift is prety much over. Bit peeved at having paid for delivery on this date, but not going to moan too much right now because they still have an hour and a bit to deliver. Outside of that, what are my options? I need these components ASAP but I'm not going to re-arrange the rest of the week for them, I have already done that for today.

If it has been out since 9am then it *should* be with you today.
Surely there must be a number you can phone to try and find out what is happening?

If it is with City Link and has been since 9am this morning, then I'm not sure what SCAN will be able to do if anything at all. I think the most SCAN may be able to do is contact City Link and ask what is happening, but don't quote me on that as I don't work for SCAN so obviously don't know what they can and can't do for you.

Like I said above, I think your best bet would be to contact City Link, just keep trying phone numbers.

Just checked the tracking and it "is" out for today, so you should still get it, i have known CL deliver up untill about 6:30 so there is hope yet

I'll hold on a while longer, but City Link will incur my wrath if it doesn't come today =D Not having a go at Scan, I know it is out of your hands when City Link take it and I'm sure a non-delivery would upset you as much as it would me.

What is worse though, I ran out of ciggies at noon and can't go out to get more!!

City Link have let me down on more than one occassion - and they normally site the problem at the customer - 'there was no answer when the driver knocked' is the response I have had twice - er................sorry, I was there all frakkin day!

Both time I went mental at Citylink on the phone.

However that gets you no-where whe the item hasn't arrived

No, a delivery would. I only started again a few days ago when a very important computer went pfffffft and stopped working
