We are trying to order more stock, if we can we will get more.

It likely true that we had stock prior to launch, this isn't uncommon but we are not allowed to disclose information like this prior to launch before the NDA.

There was limited allocated from MSI, this allocation not surprisingly sold out very quickly, every board has been sold to customer's, we have not simply sold out the stock to another company, why would we do this, so this other apparent company can " cash in" and we loose out. This wouldn't make sense and this is not what has happened.

Well Jason said you had 30 in and had 31 already pre-ordered....

Oh well i was up at your shop 1st thing and got fed a load of rubbish and still didnt get a board.

nice one for releasing early. been keeping an eye on this and was waiting until 2pm and have now lost out. hopefully can get one from ebuyer now, along with the rest of the parts for the system, nice one scan

Seeing as the offer was supposed to start at 2pm (Only Ebuyer seem to be sticking to this) they would of only let you have one at that time and not 9am

The release time was originally 2PM, so I can't understand how you expected to order at the discount price when you have said you came to SCAN at 9am.

If it is true that Jason informed you that 31 had been pre-ordered, then I apologise this was mis-interpreted by Jason. 30 x were booked in as a P/O error, simply to ensure stock was allocated for the promo, not allocated to customer's.

Quite disappointed they were sold before the 2pm release date. Not having a go at you Chris, just some feedback. Next time if Scan says they're going to sell them at a certain time (especially promo stock with such a big discount), I would appreciate that time being broadly accurate, which is perhaps something you could take up with whoever makes these decisions.

All in all though I think it's a bit rubbish of MSI releasing such limited numbers and creating a sort of rat race. I have heard of people writing scripts to automatically fill in the form and purchase on some websites. All in all, not so bad since I still have my money, no doubt they'll be on eBay soon (there is one already).

I don't believe the utter garbage scan are trying to spoon feed everyone. Like i said i spoke to Jason 1st thing and he said they had been there since the 5th... he should know as he has worked there a long time.

You must have been mistaken I have spoken with Jason who confirms there was a back order on the system which made him believe these were pre-ordered. This was not the case as i confirmed previously and posted that order would be taken. We have not sold these to another company as this would have no benefit as "Promo Stock" is allocated to retailers at the promo price to which we pass on to the pricing to the customers, there is plenty stock available of the G80 just not the Promo stock so there would be no benefit to sell these on to "another company" as the margins are the same for Scan on the promo stock as the normal priced stock.

Jason could only provide you with information in front of him so he was not lying to you just telling you what he knew at the time.

Feel free to post but I will stand here to let you know the facts we have nothing to hide all the information we had at the time we tried to let you know asap again I do apologise to everyone that i posted it was not to be sold before 2pm but I was just relaying information which had been provided at the time.

I was told by Scan at 1240 after Chris had me on hold for an age, and somebody heard me shouting "hello" down the phone,that no GD80 were left for sale as they had all been ordered at the low price already and were going to be honoured. It seems that Scan advertised them early by mistake, meaning those of us who re -arranged lunch breaks around 2pm have missed out.

I also think that other shops should have waited until 2pm to give everyone a fair chance, but obviously demand is high, and as said earlier there will be plenty being sold elsewhere by those who have seen it as an opportunity to make money.
