Well if Scan had the stock, I would purchase from them no hesitations. Unfortunately its a bleak outlook on the 5850 page .

Well, only bleak if you don't like XFX
To be fair, Scan's stock of 5850s is pretty poor but not the worst, not sure why they're having so much trouble getting stock compared to other big stores though. Ebuyer have a total of 90 cards split between OEM, Powercolor, XFX and Sapphire, Aria have at least 30 from a total of 5 brands and 9 versions, CCL are pretty dire with 50 cards from XFX, Powercolor and Sapphire, but only 2 of these in real stock, the rest are short-wait backorders. Dabs don't have any 5850s at all and neither do Specialtech. OcUK have at least 70 cards from Sapphire, Asus and HIS in 7 variants, Tekheads have just 1 Sapphire Toxic, Novatech have 20 cards from Asus and Sapphire. There are plenty of places to buy 5850s in the UK and there must be a stock pool of around 300 or so, you just have to shop around.
