New pc not working

Hi, I just received my new computer from scan and i took out all the non static bubble wrap and put the side back on correctly and plugged in the power cable and hdmi. Turned it on but my tv says its not receiving a signal from the hdmi socket and i tried it using a vga cable to and the same happens. Has anyone had this problem too and how do i fix it?

I've found out that the computer only works if i take the pci-e cables out of the graphics card. Does this mean its a problem with the card or the cables?

Sounds like you have the HDMI and VGA cables plugged into the motherboards onboard GFX as opposed to the GFX card which is further down.

Failing that could be the GPU is faulty so the PSU won't boot with it plugged in, make sure its fully inserted into the slot.
