I'm pretty sure there is some sort of 'unofficial' thing going on here where Overclockers don't do Silverstone and Scan don't do Lian Li, but I'm going to ask Bolton and Stoke TSOs to ask the relevant questions.

errr I'd love to be a fly on the wall to listen to the laughing in their offices.
It's the retailers choice what they stock - TSO have no influence over that - maybe Scan/OCUK don't like the terms that LianLi/Silverstone offer them.
Hell I better ring TSO cos McDonald's don't stock Burger King burgers!!!
Hey! I just ordered an intel E8400, MSI P35 neo 2 FR (GREAT PRICE on this board Scan!), Asus silent knight II and a dominator memory cooler from scan, but .....
Scans selection of memory is rather poo
I had to order 2 kits of G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HK PC2-6400C4 from overclockers which is £43 for 800 Mhz ram at 4-4-3-5. Even better is that this particular ram can hit 1000 Mhz at these timings and a few extra volts, and can scale up to 1200 Mhz at 5-6-6-18 timings!
And ofc, I cant post any links because I'm not at 5 posts yet. This was my first big order from Scan and not overclockers, but I wished I could have the ram from Scan too.
Cant wait to get it all and get OC'ing.
Also they offered to pre flash the motherboards bios for me for £10+ VAT to allow it to work with the E8400 once I get it. I wasnt too bothered about this because the motherboard was £66 at scan and £75+ elsewhere, but it would have been better done for free ofc
Now when are Scan getting the E8400 in stock??? I wants it now XD My ram arrives today and I have to wait impatiently for the rest.
Yay 5 posts! I can do this now......
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HK PC2-6400C4 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400CL4D-2GBHK)
O.o, now isnt that nice, and the review here:
VR-Zone : Technology Beats - GSkill F2-6400CL4D-2GBHK Review
Get some at scan.

TSO were very interested indeed actually. McDonalds don't stock Burger King burgers because they both retail direct. Like Apple - you don't find many HP PCs in Apple's shops or vice versa. Products that sell through sales agents have to be available in a competitive manner otherwise it could be termed price fixing. That's where a manufacturer and one or more retailers decide what the price of the item(s) will be and then they don't drop below it. The law says that if a retailer acts with a distributor or another retailer to keep a price artificially high, then that is price-fixing and illegal.
You'd be surprised what gets price-fixed. Sainsbury's, Tesco and Morrisons recently admitted to price-fixing milk ie. they all sat down together and decided what the price of milk was going to be and then stuck to it. Unfortunately it's illegal as it tends to mean you and I pay more for our milk. But then maybe you don't mind that?
As for calling me stupid? Well, I think you have proved your own point.
Well I wasnt but I think I am now... If Scan stock one item and not another its NOT scan who could be accused of price fixing. The best you could show would be that the distributor isnt selling to Scan.
Jeez, if you had had a clue where I worked you'd stop putting your big foot right in it.
I dont understand what the problem with price fixing milk is really.
It means that everyone just wont flock to and buy it from wherever its the cheapest. E.G. Asda sell 1 litre of milk for 79p. Tesco sell it for 99p. Tesco request to have a chat with Asda because they cannot compete with their milk price and both parties agree to sell their 1 litre of milk for 89p each instead.
Is that really a big problem?
They can sell their Items for however much they like. Customers cant demand price changes just because they find them too expensive, the supermarkets do have to make money and pay wages.
Oh, and wages in supermarkets are terrible, and its not really their fault. Its the customers that want everything for cheap, so at the end of the day every member of staff working in the major supermarkets (trust me, its the most difficult place to work in retail) end up being paid peanuts for working their asses off.
IMO all the major supermarket leaders should sit around a table and price fix EVERYTHING! That way the only thing that keeps a customer going to one instead of another is customer service. And maybe travel distance too. All supermarket prices and wages up by 25% please. They dont even earn 12k a year working full time at the current wages.

I vote for a larger variety of ram too. The stuff you sell is good, dont get me wrong, its just that there is so much more out there that is of interest to enthusiasts like us
Would like to see some Geil ram especially, hurry up though as I need it soon and may have to go to OCers!
*Sorry if that isnt very funny - Im no good at humour
Doesnt look like they want to sell any other ram. I only buy G. Skill now. I love my previous and current sets.
Where did you get yours from?
Overclockers, I mentioned a page back. They did 1000 mhz at 2.3v 4-4-3-5 with one pair in 2.4v 4-4-4-10 with both pairs in, but got much too hot so ive reduced them to 900 mhz on stock volts. Great stuffs for £42, though I'll upgrade to a good 2x2 Gb set in the future.
G.skill currently have an 8 layer pcb 2x2 Gb
Set that does 1066 Mhz 5-5-5-15, but thats still not good enough for me
Ram has been discussed many many times. No point in asking for it. It's not gonna happen unless corsair disappear. Just take your custom elsewhere if you want ram other than corsair.

Tracers are nice too, but they were pricey. I went for the cheap G. skill ones.
But if getting crucial, I would rather get normal ballistix then tracers.
I love the green heatspreaders on one of the cheap G. Skill modules, but they arent that good a set.
These ones. I want those heatspreaders dammit, but the ram is plain average stuff
Link doesnt work so photobucketed.
The difference being that crucial sadly dont do a 4gb ballistix set, and their 2gb ballistix and tracer kits are now no longer using the nice clocking Micron d9 that everyone bought them for.....so the gskill set gives you 4gb in 2 sticks (far less strain on the mobo) and roughly equivalent clocking....
That said im going to carry on running my 2x1gb Ballistix tracers at 500fsb, 4-4-4-4, 100% stable with only 2.0v set in bios
It still really annoys me that scan only carry corsair....who lately have offered some frankly poor clocking ram at much to high a price tag....
