Yorkieben is right indeed - took his acid test advice, it's been running upside down all afternoon, and is as cool as a cucumber. Looks like I'll have to tell the guys at Scan.

Thanks all - I'll probably RMA this.

n.b. - I've been running it with all fans on full, and the case side off, since I got it working again, and it's been fine, but obviously this isn't a permenant solution! That said, when it's cool enough, this board is the nuts.

    Cheers again,

After speaking to our beloved systembuild team the Chameleon is actually going to use the deluxe motherboard to to the very same issue some of you are experiencing with the motherboard inverted and the heatpipe cooler not functioning correctly.

The reason the Chameleon might not have crashed is due to the watercooling removing a LOT of the heat from the surrounding items or we've been very lucky indeed

As such I'm going to add an admendum to the website to reflect these findings.

It's more stable in mine when I have all the case fans on full, my Zalman CPU cooler on full, and an extra exhaust fan. The irony is I bought this board primarilly because it didn't have a fan.
