Yet, you see the need to spell "you" as "u".
At least Oshta has tried to spell the words correctly. Besides, as far as I know, there is no link between spelling ability and intelligence.
Quite ironic you felt the need to make a post criticizing someone else’s spelling, in which you use “txt speak”.

Text speak as you put it is there to make text messages shorter. Now, that is different in not being able to spell correctly. Especially for someone who goes to University!!

Dont get me started on my spellings.
    - Im naturaly gifted at the whole spellings thing, but i try my best.
    - And at the end of the day, i come on this forum at the end of long day as a way of recreating and winding down for bit. Not to spend the whole time checking spelling of words.

And as for people using "txt spk"
    - Aggggg, you people really wind me up.
    - But at a the end of the day, i just put up with it and carry on.

Text speak was was there to 'get around' the chariter limit on SMS messages.
    - What relevence is that on a fourm where its all free, and you have highres moniter and a full Kboard to go at!!

Like everyone else, i have my strenghts and my weaknesses, and english/spelling ist on of my strenghs.
    - Im an engeineer, not a english student.

I have to agree here, City Link suck. This is the only thing that lets Scan down... take note guy's at Scan - you might like to change you couriers.

Using text speak on a place like a web forum is widely considered to be worse then misspellings. People spell things wrong mostly because they aren't fully sure how to spell them correctly, or they're not practised in using the word. Fair enough, they've tried, they screwed up a bit, but they'll do better next time.

Text speak shows a distinct lack of effort on the posters part. Its lazy, ignorance is forgivable, apathy is not. I'm surprised you havn't learned this yet, but you'd do well to, as its considered the norm on most of the techie places you'll find on the internet.

edit: Sorry for veering off Steve A

I really hate City Link too. On 3 or 4 occasions they have supposedly carded me even though i was waiting by the door all day.

A few weeks ago, they "couldn't find my door bell" - thats a new one!!!

Moral = Scan please your DHL or some other company

I've always foud City Link's service to be excellent. The nearest depot to me is in Plymouth and I've never been left a card if I'm at home and they always deliver next day.

Well, the bits came yesterday and Scan are chasing citylink as well as offering me a small discount off my next order.

Scan still has brilliant support in my opinion

They were supposed to deliver my first order from SCAN today...they didn't.

The level of customer support I got from CityLink? ZERO

How long did I spend on hold over 3 calls, just waiting for them to answer? 35 mins

How long did I wait before they just cut me off by turning their phones off at 7pm? 13 mins

    Is this good enough? NO

    Was I ticked off? YES

Did it ruin the fact that I was waiting for £900 pounds worth of gear and was hoping to enjoy having all those lovely boxes today? DAMN RIGHT IT DID!

Reason given for non-delivery - address not in the A-Z. Funny that because I live, with my 9 months pregant wife right off one of the major roads in Croydon, Surrey.

Most likely reason for non-delivery? The driver is blind.

Scan have been great but CityLink sucked on this one! If you guys do consider a move don't go with: AMTRAK or PARCELFORCE or PARCELFORCE WORLDWIDE.

The irony is that a lovely UPS truck passed by my house today and I thought - 'If only'
