    I have made note of your points and maybe this will result in the tracking e-mails being sent on daily basis rather than only on the first delay. I am unsure how feasible this would be.

    However further confirmation's will be sent once the status of your order changes, which will be today. At the moment further confirmation from the last e-mail hasn’t been sent as there has been no change in the status of your order.

    The order will be shipped out tonight for you

    So to keep things tidy I thought I'd add to this thread since it charts my last problem through to a possible next one.

    It's now 7pm and my (in stock at the time) order from 2pm yesterday ending 537 shows no sign of moving. Obvioulsy there's still an hour left so fingers crossed and I REALLY hope someone can come along and laugh at me because it did ship and I'm just being anal (and yes I've seen the forum today note about too many orders = delays).

    However I'm now getting a phobia about ordering from Scan. Is it just all my £500+ orders that get left behind? I've read many comments from others about them never having this experience. Over the last month I must have ordered over £600 of parts per week, none of which have been plain sailing and this could be another one?

    So they key questions;
    • Will I get a delayed email notification tonight?
    • Will I get an out of stock email tonight?
    • Will I get no reply at all tonight?
      Or will it ship?


    I've got a couple of £1000+ orders coming up next week (?). Am I still tempted to use Scan

    The estimated despatch date is today. We will endeavour to reach this if possible.

    Well I got the inevitable delayed despatch email (again).

    Am I safe in the assumption that anyone else who ordered after 2.05pm yesterday (22nd) won't be getting their items delivered tomorrow (24th) either?

    If the items aren't despatched tomorrow so I get them before the bank holiday weekend I'll cancel and be off somewhere else.

    Is it going today then?

    I assume it's all in stock, it was when I ordered and again yesterday when I checked.

    Your order has now been picked and is due to ship tomorrow, the 1 x USB2/CABLE/A-A/18M 1.8M USB2 A-A CABLE is out of stock so I have removed this from your order so the remaining order can ship tonight for delivery tomorrow.

    Alternatively we have the LN11533 1.8m USB2 Cable A (Male) to A (Male) in stock

    Yep, just remove the cable. So the reason for my 'delayed shipping' email was actually a 34p cable that was really out of stock? The same cable that still shows as 'in stock' despite the fact it was allocated to me when my payment was taken over 24 hours ago?

    Chris thanks for the phone call, I was just about to post a reply. I'll be waiting eagly for the CityLink guy to deliver tomorrow (Friday) as you said.

    Got the 3rd order picked email at 18.51 but nothing since. The website shows the same so I assume it's not actually been sent.

    If I haven't got this on Friday or at the outset by Saturday then cancel the order, I'm not waiting a week to get these parts and I 'd expect an immediate refund.

    Everything showed as in stock when I ordered on Tuesday and still all looked to be in stock yesterday, this makes no sense to me for a 'real time' stock system.

    I can’t believe the order has not shipped I physically took the order down to picking personally, the order was completed last night but missed the last delivery van.

    I can only apologies and the order will be upgraded to FOC Sat 26th pre 12am delivery for you.

    Chris thanks. I can't remember getting sstuck at stage 3 before. I take it that's what the flurry of emails are today, the 2nd delayed despatch email for this order at 9.31 am today and then the new order number that seems to be starting from scratch ending 821?

    The new invoice number is the shipping invoice, you can continue to track the status of the order using this reference number.
