    Palit 8800GTX HDCP?

Hey i was wondering if any of you guys knew if the Palit 8800GTX is HDCP compliant? Ive just put the order through on one(with the BNPL option) and i read somewhere that not all 8800GTX are HDCP compliant and so i tried to figure out if my choice was and i cant confirm it anywhere. I just assumed that all 8800GTX would be seeing as their at the bleeding edge of graphics technology.

If it were not to be HDCP compliant what options would i have if i decided i didnt want it anymore?

You might have to wait for ATI's R600 GPU

hmm well i dont fully understand the problem they're having and tbh i dont even have a Dual Link needed monitor and i cant see myself buying one in the next 2 years so i dont see how having HDCP over both links with be of any advantage to me. Also within 2 years im sure i wouldve upgraded my GPU to something newer.

As for Vista and Purevideo having problems i dont see that anything more than Vista teething/nvidia driver problem and should hopefully of been fixed before i even purchase a blu-ray/HD-DVD drive.

More worrying for me is if Palit 8800GTX even has HDCP over a single link DVI.

    Anything?

I realy dont want the Palit 8800GTX shipped if it simply means me shipping it straight back and delaying me putting my new pc together.

We're in the process of contacting Palit to find this out.

As you can imagine we could not ask them over the weekend and thats why no-one replied yesterday.

As soon as we get a reply we'll let you know accordingly

    Best Regards,

Here's the reply I've got from Palit

8800GTX and GTS have HDCP function but they need to use the latest driver 099 ( Palit's version) or NV new released driver 92.02.

Driver 099 is already updated on Palit website.
