Sorry... only one... this is the replacment for the abit..
Anyway, threw it in last night, 30mins for the board switch and turned it on expecting a rebuild and........
"TADA"
It works... no POST or widows issues, straight away fires up, and the black board looks a damn sight better than the orangy colour of the abit...
Nice board you'l like it
thanks,
Andy
i was the same, finished installing all components and was still thinking that I would see the corruptions and it would not be sorted when everything was sweeeeeeeet. No corruptions no beeps or errors at all (yet). 45 mins and a complete rebuild later I was successfully able to play Battlefield 2142 without any issues, Temp were good etc.
All in all I was a little dissapointed with the AB9 as that was a great board (on paper) for the money. However the problems I had had rendered it completely useless. I am more than happy with the P5B-E Plus now, and its quad core ready MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
*COUGH* upgrade your chip tbh *COUGH* ill do the invoice for you

HELP!!!
Arrggg, had'nt tested the audio, its all distorted, tried reinstalling the drivers and still distorted??
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andy
Tried everything to sort this out... when i say everything i mean EVERYTHING!!!
The problem was that the right hand headphone was fine but no matter what i tried the left would be distorted and "computerised", from both the front and back connector... very strange....
Rebuild in and out of case, rebuild windows, bios flash, driver update, change headphones.... errm... not much more i could have done!
So it finally forced me to make the ultimate sacrifice... a trip to PCWorld...
eeek, but i had to .... im sorry....
Paid £7 for a cheepo 5.1 audio card... slapped it in and .... woo hooo....
Sound!
Not greatly happy paing for a board where the audio just dosent work.... and its a known issue with the p5b legacy boards... ?????
I wish i could face the RMA on this but i have already wasted 2+ weeks with the previous problem i just cant do it! ++ i am hosting a charity LAN this weekend and will need this up and running....
Apart from the sound the board is great, just very dissapointed...
Ah well...
Thanks,
Andy
in all honest I have never found an on board soundcard that is totally foolproof. Most of them give you feedback from the fans that all other people on TS can hear. I have an old audigy card that I am going to shove in. I would never RMA a baord due to the soundcard as I say I have never found one thats any good for gaming.
is this the worlds longest thread or what???
