Why don't scan sell RAM other than corsair!?

    Why not?
You can't go wrong with corsair but what about cell shock and ocz?
I want some cell shock ram, but scan don't stock it Stocking other ram surely would help scan hugely. ie. people see cell shock RAM they want on scan so they buy it and all there other stuff from them, thus giving scan more profit .

I also would like to see ddr2 pc-1000

Plus G skill. Why they limit themselves to one brand of memory is beyond me. I am having to use overclockers to get the ram I want and I despise that place. Come on Scan.

technically they do sell more than just corsair stuff, samsung etc, but I agree they could have a bit more varied stock

I believe Scan have a 'special relationship' with Corsair, enabling them to get it cheaper than if they were to stock other brands too.

Having Corsair is all well nd good but they need a variation to give customers like me a choice. I would rather use G skill or Ocz than corsair.

    I'm An OCZ fan..
But i've heard great things about Corsair in the past..
And if stocking only Corsair makes it cheaper to buy Ram.. Fine with me.

I haven't used Corsair in quite a while, I find that the other memory brands tend to be better overclockers... but I'm not saying its bad

    I agree.

I don't see the point in getting loads of different brands of ram when corsair is already considered very good

Well if Corsair have a special deal going with scan, which it looks like it does . We are not going to see other brands any time soon . Don't get me wrong I love corsair memory, I have some of it in my current pc and is super stuff, but I want that little bit more. I really want to buy from scan ie. the dominator 2gb £195 stuff, but I have seen better modules for very Simula prices ie. cel shock, ocz.

I personally would like to see scan stock crucial, thats pretty much the only pc component i havent bought off them in the last 2 years, cos im a bit of a ballistix fanboy (at least on A64).

Corsair is a good solid brand, we can ask the powers that be if we can have other brands but despite rumours of in bed with corsair we actually stock corsair because "It works".

I will inquire as to other brands but i need to know (other than i prefer brand X) why not corsair?

Other shops like scan sell corsair stuff as well as other well known brands (brands x,y,x). I have said corsair ram does the job very well, but it would be nice to see more than just corsair ram from our fav components supplier scan.
I am not saying that x brand are better nor worse than p,q,r,t brands.
Correct me if I am completely wrong but surely scan would make bigger profits
and attract far more people to buying from them if they sold more 'high performance ram brands'.
    thankyou
