    Original Message: I placed an order with you last Thursday which included 4x500GB Samsung SATA300 drives
    Everything I ordered was in stock at this time and was also in stock all over the weekend - (The hard drives and the E6400 that I ordered also went onto the "today only" section, which has irked me somewhat)

    Today I get an email saying that my order has been delayed "due to a temporary shortage in stock" of the hard drives

    I am so disappointed with getting this email - I've made numerous smaller orders in the past and have received excellent service until now

    Can you explain to me why you have delayed my order, when my items were in stock from the first instance? How does Scan feel it can compensate me for this wholly unwarranted delay?

    Don't wish to hijack your thread, but I placed an order on Thursday, including 2 x 500gb Samsung Spinpoint T drives which was supposed to come out tomorrow and my order was delayed as well and got an email at about 8pm stating these were now out of stock, but when I placed the order they were shown as in stock.

    For me the 'in stock' notice is a big factor in placing on line orders, although Scan is normally pretty good on price as well.

    The biggest annoyance is that if I'd got the notification earlier I could have phoned up, knocked them off the order and still received the rest of the order tomorrow.

    Guys read the thread about the changes that scan are making to stop this from happening in future.

    Was offered different HDs to allow the order to go through quicker but have declined the offer

    I read the other thread and all I can gather is: if you use the budget delivery service, you're taking a chance with stock levels

    As long as it arrives before the weekend, I'll feel not too hard-done-by

    There is no difference in delivery services. We do not penalise people because of using the Hexus Free Carriage promo.

    That's not what I was trying to say - I know you don't penalise us, every other order I've made has arrived so fast it's unreal

    I guess I've gotten annoyed at a situation that I didn't expect to occur
    I should count my blessings, I suppose

    Scan have now picked my order and it's awaiting dispatch

    Nipped home during lunch break, all the new kit is there. One huge box with all the bits in and an even heavier box containing a CM Stacker case (which looks the business, btw).

    Only problem now is I've got to come up with a decent excuse to sneak off work early so I can start putting it all together.
