I am a fairly new member and have just started using scan and have to say that I have had no problems with any issues on any of my orders and have found the customer service/sales teams on the phone very polite and helpful. As i have had to be awkward a couple of times and had to change orders etc and it has all been done promptly with no problems...
have to say scan are very much around the best retailers i use and i wont be stopping anytime soon!!!!!
Guys, its usually the new guys who are not aware of scans current warehouse change, so they order without expecting any problems. Whereas you and i order knowing full well and expect possible problems and delays, therefore we can't really complain. So give the noobs a break on this one..
* Canon 5D Mark ii * 24-105L * 2 x 580Ex ii * 85mm f1.8 * For sale = Canon EOS 400D * 100mm f2.8 macro * 10-22mm * 17-55mm IS f2.8 * 70-300mm IS * speedlite 420EX *
Apologies if I came across as a conspiracy theorist, it's more in terms of the amount of first time posts saying how disgusted they are with the service etc - normally I'd at least expect some kind of "my order was due today but it didn't arrive, what can be done?" rather than the "I'm never using Scan again".
That said if people read the stickys before venting...
uhh, it gets worse i bought this
It's not a CT-60, it's a CT-45. The staples are not the same. Scan doesn't sell them. I bought some somewhere else, so now I have to wait and get new staples and chalk the £14 i spent (2pks + del.) down to experience.
The Scan sticker on the box says CT-60, the item is clearly a CT-45
Have you raised this with Scan? If they're being supplied something that is mislabelled I suspect that they'd want to be made aware...
EDIT - just read that the SCAN sticker says CT60 - are there any other labels on the box?
Polandro,
Please see your PM
PM sent, I see the product has changed on the site.
Actually, whilst i investigate this the product should has disappeared from the website completely.
Wesley
I appreciate that problems can and do happen but the mark of a good company is how they fix the problems, Scan are doing a great job on that front.
Compared to OcUK Scan are completely in another league you cannot even talk to Overclockers without paying them, they have the 0870 number for which they get paid by BT and you are lucky if you can get through in less than 20 minutes, then they have outright lied to me and many others in the past.
I know where I prefere to spend my money.
I think we did this earlier.
I do appreciate the effort Scan has made to rectify the issues I have had with them. Both Wesley and Dawn have shown that they are able to deal with a situation sensitively. I don't want to go into detail about the solutions they have offered me as I believe they would prefer to keep it between us. Suffice to say they have met me somewhere in the middle.
I have bought goods from the company that you have expressed dissatisfaction with and Savastore, Dabs, MicroDirect etc. I can honestly say that no etailer is perfect and, I'm sure, Scan would be the first to agree with me. I think I have expressed the fact that I am willing to consider purchasing from Scan again. I don't think they will be the only vendor I will deal with...Originally Posted by Wesley PM

I think you've taken a very commendable attitude to this, good on you it's better for all I'm sure, the only reason I mentioned OcUK is because I've had too many issues to talk about, I build PC's for my living and I just coudn't cope with them any more, my customers have to come first or I'll go bust, suffice to say I have been delighted with Scan.
