Delayed order

I'm really disapointed to have got a delayed order email tonight. I specifically ordered it for a delivery Friday so I could complete some urgent PC repairs at the weekend but it looks like I'm again to be disapointed, and in the same week I had to wait in all day from City Link to pick up a 9am-1pm collection at 5pm!

So I've waisted half a day hanging around ealier in the week and now don't have the parts for the work I'd scheduled for Saturday PM so I can sit a twiddle my thumbs again.

Joy, oh joy.

Sorry for the delay, this was due to a volume of orders as confirmed 11/01/2007.

The order has been passed directly to the picker for urgent despatch today for delivery tomorrow.

Chris, I assume this was a saturday delivery, which is much appreciated.

However after earlier this week singing the praises of City Link they've not arrived today and they're numbers are constantly engaged! (12.30pm)

Saturday carriage is chargeable, the carriage option you have opted for is weekday delivery therefore the order was despatched on Friday for delivery Monday 15th.

Saturday delivery would not be upgraded free of charge as our despatched dates are not guaranteed and clearly advertised as estimated as you are already aware of.

I can only apologies for any inconvenience the delay has caused

Chris I know all that but you have/do upgrade to Saturday deliveries sometimes and a note from you yesterday (Friday) saying 'delivery tomorrow' means a Saturday to me, hence the question and phone call.

Got the order thanks but it wasn't in a very good state. The outer packing was fine so it's nothing to do with City Link. However the motherbaord box looked as though it had gone a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson, there was no manual included and it certainly didn't look brand new (would you be selling returned items as new?). The motherbaord had no bubble wrap around it and was in the bottom of the larger outer box with no cushioning underneath. There was tons of air packkets on top but if it had got dropped it would have taken virtually the full impact.

Despite saying that it seems ok so far but I thought the feedback may be useful?
