It is good that ebuyer do that for you, and as much trouble as I had with DABS and thier terrible communication, they sent a courier for my parts, and refunded me the original delivery costs (i'm not sure if anyone else does this..)

Scan are my number one stop. Ebuyer 2nd.
I have bought from OcUK but try not to as their prices are stupidly high and all the BS that comes from their staff on the forums about being the only stockist when new items comes out which is alway lies. Plus delivery charges are high and you daren't complain about them on their forums!! It is run by hitler youth.
Ebuyer are great to shop at. Superb prices plus free delivery too on lots of items. RMA with Ebuyer has been great.
Nothing i can say about Scan except, Awesome!
I've used OcUK in the past because the price and selection was right, but that hasn't been the case for a long time now, so I haven't used them for quite some time.
I've also personally had some of what I will call 'odd' experiences with their RMA department, everything was resolved in the end but not without strange and unexpected happenings (over a year ago now). That and the annoying way you cover the costs of sending a DOA part back to them.
I have on occasion in the past. I don't now.
i had a problem with them when an item never got delivered...... and 5 months later i was still trying to get a refund out of them.... was 1 and a half years ago now... havn't used them since.
whereas with scan, every order that i have made so far i have messed up in some way or another.... and scan have been perfect in sorting it out within a few working hours of me contacting them.
when even trying to contact ebuyer took 5days ish for a response to come through.
(but before that whole episode i insisted on using ebuyer cos they were the best around.... then that happened and i lost faith in them completey)
They got an eNote system now instead of contact emails and their phone number is 0870 which is okay considering most use the more expensive 0871. Unlucky though about the refund thingy. They were super quick with my refund this time. I had rma'ed a doa cooler to Scan at the start of this month and only a week ago it got confirmed for a refund. eBuyer picked up my mobo afterwards and offered a refund and it arrived faster than Scans
I guess we still haven't faced any bad experiences
all I can say is NEVER again.

Ocuk really brings back bad memories (2003) for me:
- Poor customer service
- there lies
- selling sub standard stock
That's all i am going to say. I never have shopped with them since and never will again.
I only use OcUK if I absolutely have too, more than one unpleasant rma too many.
I use them occasionally, mainly for RAM and the odd bargains. The reason I do not use them often is because there are not competitively priced for most items.
Most of the things I've had to RMA were done directly by manufacturer in my experience (HD, PSU, sound card etc.). Which manufacturer has referred back to the retailers in your experience so that I can make a little note for myself?
Personally, I would actually prefer if e-tailers dealt with all RMAs (assuming they are decent). Sadly, most (all?) e-tailers I've used take the easy way out by asking me to go through the manufacturer once the failure occurs after the first month. It's fine if the manufacturer are efficient, but it varies a lot.
I've only ever bought RAM from them - it arrived - it worked - end of story.
Don't think I have used E buyer, for preference I use Scan, CCLOnline and if its somethibng I need quickly, Novatech (they are local) Amazon are also good - but not always competitive.
I have RMA'd stuff with Scan, and it has been pretty much trouble free.
Broadbandbutyer and DSL warehouse have been good too.
Years ago I bought (and had to RMA) some stuff from Dabs - the experience was so bad that I have never shopped from them again. They were also very uncompetitive - they might be better now. Similarly with MisCo - always used to be very expensive and I'd never even think of looking there - perhaps they have improved too.
Funny isn't it how a bad reputation or a bad experience takes a long long time to shrug off - you would think these companies would learn....

I've bought from OCUK a couple of times because they're local. They've always been friendly and helpfull, and because I can go and pick stuff up from them directly, quick.
But I agree they are not the very cheapest.
