Sounds interesting, but whether the tech can be created for PCs is another story.

Bit skeptical that it will replace AC in the hotter parts of the world.
The theory is an interesting one, but in terms of replacing PC cooling I'm not convinced they can be made compact enough/cheap enough to compete with current fans.

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
It isn't bladeless is it though ? There is a bladed fan in the base that is pumping air into the circular hoop assembly. Its like connecting a small fan to a pipe..
Basically yes, it uses a radial fan in the base similar to those that are used in compressors, which are far more efficient than your average axial desk fan.
I can't hear the audio but the video pretty much shows it all.

Read more. The man who brought us the bagless vacuum cleaner has today unveiled the bladeless electric fan.
We've got an airblade drier at work that uses the same principal, but it's blooming noisy (like, close to impacting on H&S noisy).
How much dust can it shift into your case?
I know, let's teach baby to put its arm into a fan...
Hey, I like the song too! (Italian?)
Would this be practical for a PC fan?
Mr Dyson is a clever clever man.. but sometimes, he needs someone else to do the talking
I mean,..... come on old boy... my dog could have worded that better."And people actually say that, because it's a constant stream, it's much more cooling - I don't know whether technically it's more cooling but it feels like it, apparently."
