    Halo 3 in-game screenshots surface

Someone's in for a sharp slap on the wrists if Bungie find out that they've taken these in-game screenshots from Halo 3.

    Check out the Headline

halo's mainly great because of its massive following. most of my mates will be picking it up so i know im going to get a lot of gameplay from it.

your right about the graphics, nothing special at all.

Alpha build screenshots. Looks like Halo 2 on steroids. One wonders whether they've taken so long to get it out they've been out-developed by the likes of Epic and Crytek
    time will tell

Bigest mystery in recent gaming history - why is the Halo series so big when both Halo and Halo 2 were, at best, average FPS games?

Thats because the average console gamer has never played a REAL FPS like Duke Nukem 3D, Quake 3, Unreal Tournament etc.

I'm suprised at the negativity about the Halo series. I am a huge FPS fan, having been playing since their inception.

I enjoyed Halo2 immensely, and would certainly rate it as a very good game, possibly in my Top10.
There is a very good variety of environments, weapons, enemies. Tactics need to change a lot depending on situation, and enemy AI is good. The plot is also a lot more interesting than many FPS, and is used in the game to good effect, rather than just being a starting point.

If Halo3 is similar to Halo2, then it is likely to prompt me to buy an Xbox360.

I'd say Halo 1 was the best, Its one of my top 3 games in terms of hours spent playing on it, possibly top, I loved it. Not to pleased with halo2 so hope halo 3 is more like the original.

    Anyone here a beta tester?

As far as console FPS goes, Halo is the best I've played. Although those screenshots just look like high res Halo 2, but I doubt the photo's do it justice.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.
