Does make of memory make any difference?

I have just got a W810i and after playing around with it for a few hours yesterday, putting music on mainly, I soon realised that the 512mb memory that comes with it just is not going to be enough

After a little looking on the net I found this place http://www.mobymemory.com/w810i-memo...FSoMQgodEAcDDw

I see there are 2 makes of memory for the cards, Sony and San, so I have a few questions is there any difference between them? Is it worth going for the faster UltraII card? It says it's faster memory, any idea how much faster, or even if I will notice a difference?

Only thing I do know is I want that 4gb version

    Thanks for any help

Playing music, you'll see no difference. The high speed cards are usually targeted at photographers, where the speed can make a difference.

Sony and SanDisk memory sticks are both made in the same factory. There's no point paying the extra money for the Sony branded ones.

SD cards are a little different as the SD specification is a little more loose and some cards will not work in some brands of phone. That won't affect you if you've got a Sony Ericsson though.

Thanks for the info The San and Sony memory is the same price, so I think I'll go for the San stuff as that is what is already in the phone.

yeah, the highspeed ones are mainly for digicams, and psp's, coz thats when you need speed, although, i bought a 2gb sony card (a slow one) and it does get annoying when using a cardd reader, because it really isn't fast. im talking 15-20 secs to copy an mp3 (thats a long time iuf transfering multiple tracks)
you get a realistic bandwidth of about 300-350KBps on them. its a nightmare coppying movies to your phone!
