    Re: LG Viewty

    Hi everyone...

This is a bit of a random question... and the chances anyone knows the answer is pretty slim.. but here goes anyway...

For my crimbo pressie I got (myself!!) a tomtom GO 520... which connects via bluetooth to my Sony Eric k810i.... It reads texts to me when I'm driving which I think is pretty damn cool....

I wanna upgrade my phone to the viewty this month and wanna check if this function works with it... Does anyone know...?

I've checked to tomtom website and the phone isn't even listed in the compability list (they don't update it very often).....

If anyone can help i'd much appreciate it before signing my life away for another 18 months,,,

I DOUBT it. In retrospect i regret getting the Viewty. Its functionality and the way in which it does things has the grace of a one legged cow. It seems everything was thought out carefully, and then deliberately ruined by the designers.

    Re: LG Viewty

if you put a mem card in and copy to that it should work....

and set default storage as memcard
and theres an option somwhere to acts as a removable storage device instead of modem

i havn't tried PC suite yet so i have no idea what it's like

    my questions are:

    1. what's your take on LG mobile phones in general?

    2. what's your opinion/advice on getting a touch-screen, 3G, 5-megapixel camera phone such as the Viewty? has anyone tried it? how is it? (eg. taking pictires, writing a text message, compatibilty, etc.?)

In response to the above I can only say - be careful if you have a laptop. I purchased the Viewty with a view to being able to download/upload music and pictures only to discover that - even having installed the software it came with- my laptop would not sync with it. I am now left with a useless bit of kit and LG were less than helpful suggesting I take the problem up with E2save.com who refused to accept any responsibility. Is there anybody out there who can help me with this problem?

My mate has a viewty. Had to have a replacement battery but otherwise looks a nice piece of kit. Wouldn't mind one myself. Anyone got one for sale?

    Re: LG Viewty

I'm due an upgrade soon, and really tempted to get the Viewty. I've already got the Prada and can't really fault it, it's just a shame the Viewty is so big! Does anyone have a Viewty on T-Mobile and do they know if all the Google apps are integrated (like Google Maps/Google Mail/etc)? Also, how's the browser on it? The browser on the Prada is awful, so I just downloaded Opera Mini which is fantastic.
