    ROFL

From a converted WinMobile fan....the Omnia sucks monkey testes.

Try the HTC phones for a good experience, the 'cheap' (LG, Samsung etc) smartphones aren't a patch on the HTC touch screen devices, or the iPhone (as much as I hate to say it the iPhone is a good bit of kit...but not what I want)

I've got one coming tomorrow on t-mobile. (Upgrade)

From the reviews it looks decent, will see how it is in comparison to the iphone/g1 (both of which I've had).

    Re: LG Arena

sorry but LG was actually the first to bring in touch screen devices with the LG prada and yet people seem to think lg copy everyone and even apple, no. Im not sure about the arena but the LG renoir ISNT a smartphone, its not a windows mobile device and really the apple touch screen devices are not that great imo. My friend has the ipod touch and afaik its the same design (for touch) as the iphone and yet using it, it hardly picks up my finger and isnt extremely fast but compare it to other companies and one that i have first hand experience with (LG renoir) its a rip off as its alot more responsive and about the same if not better in speed, cost me less than the Ipod touch so i think thats an epic win.
    *Rant over*

The arena is meant to be very good, much more media orientated than the renoir which is why some say the renoir sucks due to the media player functions(who buys a camera phone for music? honestly), arena has the same if not better resolution than the iphone and is cheaper with better camera . I would of got it if it came out just as the time i bought the renoir and if it had a 8mp camera (MP isnt everything but the quality of this phone aint bad at all), i got the renoir for £13 a month with 150mins/500txt 12month contract so happy .

Maybe apple will need to improve the features of their product? Better camera etc and decrease profit margins....

The resolution is higher, 800*480 in comparison to the iphones 480*320.

I personally think the arena will be a very good phone. If I have the time I'll try to put up a mini review.

LG Prada came out in 2007
    iPhone came out shortly after
HTC have been doing touchscreen phones for years before then.
Sony Ericsson have been doing it too with the P series phones.
LG do copy people, they didn't bring out this touchscreen tech, they didnt really do anything especially new with it and they didnt exactly innovate it.

If the Renoir isn't a 'smartphone' then I'm your dad
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LG_Renoir

The phone has an 8mp camera, email, WIFI, xvid/divx support and has built in GPS

I don't know...I bought a fairly decent point and shoot to take pictures. Bet I'm a trendsetter or something.....

I would guarantee my old 3.2mp Olympus digital camera takes better pics than your 8mp cameraphone
