i had xda2 - the phone side was terrible! would simply just not receive calls or texts sometimes, then the next one would come through. I then went for a p910i, and loving it.

One issue my friend has with his p900 is that it only accepts cards up to 128mb (which makes it an mp3 player, but with crap storage), my PDA on the otherhand will handle 4gb cf cards. Not sure if the memory issue is sorted with the 910, but I would definitely check that first.
You can use >128MB cards on the p910i
You can on the p900 with a firmware flash, which is what really pee's me off. Sony have purposfully locked it down.

You can, but its not easy.
First, you'll loose bluetooth, and secondly, you need specialist equipment to do it (which isnt cheap). There are a few places you can get it done in the UK, but not many.

Ah fair enough, I did a little more reading and its more just to prove that its a software limit rather than give people the functionality, thanks anyway.

You dont loose bluetooth, you loose the ability to use BT headsets that all. File transfers via bluetooth work fine after the flash.

Certainly worth doing if you dont use a BT headset but require the ability to use memory stick over 128mb

Aparently the BT issue with headsets will never be fixed either as its hardware related, but everything else works fine

One more vote for the JAM. I've had mine since December and absolutely love it. I have the PPC Tech's 128mb RAM upgrade, TomTom 2004 Bluetooth GPS Navigation, 256mb+wifi combo sdio card, and a 1gb SD card (should get a 2gb soon).

Hi there , im the prowde owner of a iPAQ 6340 ( the all in one PDA) , it got BT , Wifi , IRDA , Sdio slot... , ok , its got a lame processor but is perfect for me.
I work out of my office a lot , so bringing a portable "office" with you is very important , you can read xls , doc , pdf , dwg (with cad soft) and much more. When i come back to the office ( we have a wifi network and a BT network ) is always sincronized , without tacking it of my pocket.

The trade off of beeing a "swiss army knife" , it got a not so great perfomance. But for me is the perfect tool

Sry for the english , its not my first language.

    I'm using a P900 w/ P910i firmware as we speak Agent
Just a few things to clarify:
    1. You will not lose your bluetooth, i recall hearing rumours about this but I can clarify it is not true. I have been using bluetooth to send and recieve (and bluejack ) people since ive had the flash and I can confirm all is in working order.
2.You also gain Quick Point and Quick Word in rom, an enhanced mp3 player and some other options in control panel such as screen brightness etc.
    3. Alas, there are only few places this can be done. I had mine done in half an hour at above connection in Central London. The shop is called EuroFone and it cost me £20, the shop is located just down the street from Bayswater Underground station.
    Here's 2 pics of my p900:
    System Info Screen:

File Explorer shows I'm using 256mb Ms Duo
