    Vista Networking Problem.

This is still doing my flaming nut in.

WRT54G wireless router (just changed this today from a flakey MSI one).

Big PC (32bit vista) connected to router via ethernet cable.

Laptop (32bit vista) connected wirelessly to router.

From the big pc, I can access the public folder on the laptop and drag an drop files no problem (no problem now i have swapped routers anyway), so, from that end, it all seems ok.

If I try and access the big pc from the laptop, I am presented with this

I have tried adding an admin username and password and it wont take it.

    Here are the network settings.

I should also mention that I can connect to the internet with no problems from the laptop and the big pc, its just from the laptop to the big pc that seems to be the problem.

    Any ideas at all?

    Thanks

I had the same problem the other day when trying to connect to my gfs laptop over a wired connection. She is running windows xp and I'm running vista business. I never managed to get it sorted so would be interested to hear what the solution is if you ever manage to find out
