We are going with the option of not using a pop3 email service elsewhere, its our domain name yet we use demon for the email, may aswell set it up on our Windows 2003 server instead. That will be my next fun learning curve

You must make sure you lock it down good and proper, its a pain when your excahnge IP is blacklisted due to an incorrect setup.

I used EFS to check for mail every 60 seconds mainly because users would call if an email didn't hit their box within 2 mins....drove me up the wall so I gave in and just set it to 60 seconds.

    Tell your users to off!
An email is not considered lost until it has been MIA for 24 hours!
If they don't like it, they can use some other delivery method that is designed for instant delivery.
