FAH GPU Client Problem

I installed the new GPU client when I switched from an 8800 to a 4850 recently and I've had no real problems except one. When I try to play games now I have to manually shut down the client becuse it no longer detects that the GPU is in use properly. When I don't shut it down I get a distinct drop in frame rates in most games compared to when I don't have it running.

I never had the problem when I was running on nVidia hardware, it's only been since I reinstalled the client for my new ATI card. Has anyone else been experienceing anything similar?

I always manually pause my clients (GPU and CPU) before playing games, I know they should stop while the game is playing but still just feel better knowing that whilst gaming my system is dedicated to just that.

I must admit, like webby I cease all folding wilst gaming as a matter of course, it does noticeably effect gameplay.

hmmmm, i never knew it toned itself down... i just used to just stop it manually when i wanted to play a game.

It's meant to monitor GPU activity and suspend or slow itself whenever the GPU is needed for gaming.

It seemed to work when I was using my 8800 but doesn't now I guess I'll just have to get used to turning it off manually as well.
