Is DFS Replication Service on by default? I see no reason why it would be needed is all (unless you were running DFS, obviously)

Yeah, everything points towards bad RAM I think.

    Who would have thought that.

Don't bother with emailing them. Just drop another pair of sticks and RMA the old pair.

Re: Sporadic error when booting up Windows Vista ?

Just received a reply from the Geil technical support ...

    Hello Michael,

Sorry for this late reply for the system mistake of our mail server.

Yes, the warranty of our memory module is for life and we also recommend you to RMA your modules.

According to the information you provide, you purchased this kit from Novatech, England and currently you stay in Germany, am I right?

I will contact our German Account Manager to see if we could arrange the modules locally without international shipment. It will cost some time to contact our German distributor and our Account Manager, coz they are in Hannover for CeBIT currently. I will give you a feedback no later than next Friday.

    All the best,

    And that's what I replied ...

    Hello Geil Technical Support

Thank you very much for your reply.

Yes, you are absolutely right. I purchased 2 x 2GB modules from Novatech in England on the 26th March 2008 for £ 51.50

Yes, the CeBIT ... and regarding the RMA please take your time and let me know the outcome at your earliest convenience.

I appreciate your help very much.

    With kind regards.
    Michael
