Using the current Security Suite under x64, seems fine to me.

Kaspersky tech preview in that link has stopped for awhile.
its the beta for the business line of products
they put it on hold while they do the beta testing for the home user products. windows 7 isnt currently supported in the current 2010 home beta's

I followed the link a few posts above and clicked to activate the beta during installation and it's working fine for me. Never had to enter any sort of key either.

I thought this technical preview had expired though - that's to say no free keys to activate it - that was my impression last time I checked, though I could be wrong.

Edit: I'm running a licensed KIS 2009 on my one Windows 7 RC machine and so far so good, no BSODs or network slowdowns which some people were having earlier on (mind you, with the speed of my 'net connection I'd probably not notice anyway. Bah.)

I have KAV 2009. do you think that will work?

I installed it on a second drive but my critical addon http://qttabbar.wikidot.com/qttabbar dosn't work well, back to vista.

Hello,
I finally got around to testing out windows 7 RC today.
all my programs work with it.
I have found a feature that I haven't read about anywhere.
if you right click the sound icon in the system tray and click on playback devices,recording devices or sounds you will notice a new tab called communications. It is used to automatically mute other devices when you get a phone call from a VOIP program such as skype,wlm etc. it also does the same if you ring someone.
the default is lower all other volumes by 80percent.
a nice feature I think.

I thought windows 7 beta was decent but the RC is better and even faster.
installers complete near instantly.
file transfers are fast as well.
it really is like vista should of been when it came out.
vista SP1 has slow file transfers.but windows 7 doesn't and its not even final. i copied the windows 7.RC 3.4gb iso to another drive and it done it really quickly. took around 10seconds to a second internal drive like it should.

My auzentech prelude just wont work And i cant find any dirvers from auzentech for this.

Have you tried the vista drivers?

Yes. Now when i try to play music the music refuses to play also there is no sound in left 4 dead. (its the only game ive tried). But windows sounds work.

Have you checked the windows volume mixer thingy?

I was having audio problems initially where it kept muting things on it's own

Then i turned something off, (i can't think what, and it left things along )

Thats the error im getting mate :S I did check the mixer thingy and nothing is muted

Have you seen my edit?

There may be a work around be installing that version under vista compatibility mode

Yea mate i seen that webpage earlier the problem is though that i cant find that driver version anywhere. They all point to the auzentech website which only lsits their newest drivers which don't seem to work. No idea where to get the RC8 ones

No mate i just directs you to auzentech website where you are forced to download the newest 1.1 driver that doesnt work
