    Winamp Help

Just a bit of Winamp help needed.
I just downloaded and installed Winamp, I thought I'd abandon Windows Media Player. I just started playing my music and I realise that Winamp is not playing through my 6.1 speakers. It always did in Windows Media Player, and still does, but Winamp will only use my left and right and a little bit of sub, no centre or rear.
Would this be todo with how my music is encoded (its all stored on my server)
It's mostly encoded in MP3 format, 192Kb/s at Stereo, could that be the reason?
    Cheers for any help

Make sure you have the output plugin as directsound output , and put the plugin to allow hardware acceleration.

winamp does my head in, you wait and see, it will lose it after a couple of boots, it does my nut in totally, but I can't use WMP. I hate clumpy players, I love the fact winamp minimises to a small size, so I put up with it like an idiot lol

I havent had any problems with winamp. I normally only listen to internet radio stations and it does it well.
