I an sampling Cyber ghost ATM, seem to work fine ( first time VPN user )
BUT ! i am not seeing the full gigabit DL speed of my internet connection, but more around the 100 mbit upload i have.
Mind you even without VPN i have never seen my full DL speed realized from any host, for the most if it is fast i get around 500 mbit, and often that is not even a constant speed.
So for gaming online ( please someone make a game i like to play ) or massive DL i will have to turn off the tunnel.
But i assume it is normal for us on the very high internet speeds to sacrifice some speed to a tunnel.
I'm on Nord, does the job.
So the hack didn't prompt you to switch then?

It is worrying that such a thing was permitted to happen. Even more so that someone could physically compromise the server, but looks like the breach was kept quiet by the data center....
Re Nord Hack, I call bull crap that no username & passwords were compromised. At that time my Nord account was compromised and someone tried to reset my password using my credentials. My original Nord password was unique to that account, once my paid subscription is up for renewal I will be changing to a hopefully more secure VPN provider.
Nord has gotten a lot slower over the last couple of months - I seem to be changing servers more often to get better speeds.
Maybe a product of their increased user base?
I'm happy to move if someone has a better or cheaper alternative, or if there's something where there's an invite/bonus thing so we can all gain from it?
Whatever happens people.. don't let this thread turn into a spam-a-thon, If you see any posts that smell of advert.. report them please
I delete loads of VPN spam advertising from resellers who were missold the dream of leaving a proper job and real work and setting up on their own, and spamming the crap out of forums. 24/7
It's incessant.

I've been using IPVanish for a while now. Streaming 4k from Disney+ US with no issues.
Nice Android and Windows clients and a huge selection of servers.
They don't store any logs either, which to some is a bonus.
There are normally voucher codes floating around for them as well.

I was a long time NordVPN customer, but I had real performance issues with a couple of their updates when they switched to the newer ‘dumbed down’ UI. I’ve now switched to PIA, and I’m pretty happy - speeds are comparable to non-VPN traffic, and it supports port-forwarding, which can be useful. The only negative was no servers in Turkey, which can be handy for Netflix billing
