Installing/removing Zone Alarm Is Doing My Head In!

    Sorry about that.

So, I installed Zone alarm and Avast. vsmon.exe kept doing illegal operations so I tried to uninstall Zone Alarm. It wouldn't let me. I tried reinstalling Zone Alarm. It wouldn't let me because the truevecrot service was running. I rebooted into safe mode, tried uninstalling Zone Alarm. It wouldn't let me (illegal operation on the uninstaller). I tried reinstalling Zone Alarm. It wouldn't let me because the true vector service was running. the security centre kindly lets me know that zone alarm is turned off.

How can I either get rid of it or reinstall it? I want it on my system but it is doing my head in!

    Thanks

    Tim

can you turn the service off from the services panel? Type services.msc in the run box and look for it in there. Stop it then cahnge start up to disabled.

I've had a good look through the services and I can't find anything related to zone alarm or truevector

What OS are you running (pathces + revisions) also what user are u running as, and any non-default security settings u've applied.

You might have better luck with with zonealarm's support.
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
