    Hatton-Mayweather.

Not long now, anyone else looking forward to this?

I haven't felt like this about a big fight since Tyson-Holyfield I over a decade ago. Seems like a bigger fight than Tyson-Lewis, because they are both unbeaten, and the best-pound-for-pound tag around Mayweather.

I don't know why, but I really fancy Hatton to pull it off, I'm gonna put a few quid on him. Mayweather is a class act, but he's like a boxing version of Arsenal - he likes space and time to dance around and pick his shots, use his speed. Hatton will be all over him from the bell, pressure, body shots, get right in his face.

Fair enough I fancied Naz to beat Barrera, but I'm still going to back my instinct.

Best odds I can find are 3-1 for a Hatton win, anyone seen better online?

    THERE'S ONLY ONE RICKY HATTON!

    Re: Hatton-Mayweather.

I have always watched hattons fights since he first started out, and backed him to win everytime, even against Costa Tzysu. I have a bad feeling about this one though so im gonna say pbf to outpoint the hitman. Although in saying that, Hatton will try to fight him the way De La Hoya did, and for me i think Oscar just about won that fight so he does have a chance.

    Either way WAR HATTON!

    Re: Hatton-Mayweather.

    Stewart,
Mayweather is probably going to win this on points (probably 4 or more) however, if you believe Hatton will win (like I hope) don't bet on the win.

For Hatton to win, in Vegas (Floyds hometown) against a shockingly slick operator, it's going to have to be a knock out.

    My betting recommendation

Place £5 on Hatton to win by knockout in EVERY ROUND
    (except 1 or 2)

Odds on him doing this in each range from 33-1 to 40-1.
    5 * 10 = £50
That's your initial wager (of course you can replace the 5 with £1 or £20 or whatever)

    If Hatton succeeds, 5 * 33 = £165 + your £50 back.

Not bad, and a much safer bet, especially as in certain rounds it can raise to 40-1 and more.

    That'd be my route.

Then don't put a fiver on each round. Put a quid, or whatever.

    Re: Hatton-Mayweather.

Thing is, I know Mayweathers the favorite, and fighting in his own house, and the pound-for-pound best, but I still fancy Hatton to roll him over inside the first 6 rounds, and I'd rather lose 20 quid than not bother having a flutter and it happens, because then I'll be gutted.

So I've got to have a punt.

    Re: Hatton-Mayweather.

My money's on Hatton tbh, he's on form & whilst he may not be able to box like Mayweather he's got the stamina. It may go the distance, but you can't fault Hatton for workrate.

Ladbrookes are offering 11/8 on Hatton & 4/7 on Mayweather.

also stuck a fiver on a draw at 18/1

    Me

I noticed something this morning though, that worried me:

Unbelievable, after all these years, I noticed this morning that Klitscho has been moonlighting - right in front of ALL our noses.

See the damning evidence here -

    Shocking

I am in the same situation, I have paid for the fight and think might just go bed really early on Saturday night (around 7ish) once my son is asleep and then get up around 1ish - if needed should be able to get another couple of hours after the fight.

Anyone know what time the Hatton fight actually starts?
