As a big Jenson Button fan I'm getting more and more concerned that with little info coming out of Honda about a possible buyout will we see JB on the 2009 F1 grid?
What are people’s opinions on this?

He's still being paid, so the way I see it the lack of a team means there isn't so much stuff to get in the way of his playboy lifestyle
It's getting a bit late for a buyout now.
I had heard that the Honda KERS was coming along well, but that was a couple of months ago. Don't know whether they have continued to develop the car either.
It is looking increasing likely that JB wont be on the grid.
But, good news, Max is still in charge, what with his multiple personalities, so who knows. He may get bored and sack all the drivers, removing their superlicences.
NB, I am not a Max Mosely fan. But thats another thread.
That guy needs to leave that awful team if he is going to ressurect any respect for his ability
Its already too late for him, should never of bought himself out of that williams deal
Insert clever sig here...
Coincidently, rumours surfaced yesterday of a deal being done to some extent. Apparently Button and Bruno Senna have been signed with Petronas footing a lot of the bill (they're a sponsor of Senna) as well as 3 other backers. One of the major sources of funds would still come from Honda, as apparently it's cheaper to keep some of the team operational (no engines for instance) rather than paying off the staff. That lack of engines would be filled by Mercedes. Some are saying that the funds are only in place for the opening 4 races, giving them or another party more time to secure a more permanent deal.
Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group is the latest company to be linked with a buyout of Honda Racing by the looks of things.... that would be an interesting prospect.
Ive not been a big F1 fan for a long time now but IMO jenson button seemed to put the lifestyle above actually driving. Whereas Hamilton has come on the scene and driving is all that matters to him Button always seemed more interested in the fast cars and the supermodel woman.
You do realise Hamilton is doing a Beckham at the moment, yeah?
I havent really followed the off season but the last 2 seasons Louis seems to have been concentrating on the driving over everything else. I dont think I have ever seen mr button but the driving first
Mr Branson seems to be into everything else so why hasn't he got into F1 before? Bernie thinks it would be good for the sport and if it means Honda will be in this years season it can't be a bad thing.
Apparently Team Brackley have been set a deadline of Monday by Mercedes to guarantee that monies are available.
If Team Brackley haven't already started getting the car redesigned to take Merc engines they're going to be very tight on making Melbourne, but I fully expect Merc to have provided them with mounting points, weight, dimension data and so on in anticipation of a deal.
Apparently Merc also wants to see the-outfit-currently-or-formerly-known-as-Honda being able to finance the engines to the end of the season, and not just for a few races at the beginning of the season.
Interesting Branson interview on BBC Breakfast this morning - basically F1 needs to be cost effective, and champion clean fuels.Mr Branson seems to be into everything else so why hasn't he got into F1 before?
