    Night riding

Is AWESOME... just thought I'd let everyone know

Plus, it snowed like a son-of-a-bachelor here last night which made it even more fun only managed an hour and a half before we had to bale out though....

    Re: Night riding

Now that takes me back a few years. It's a completely different experience, speed feels so much different. Back in the day I went to a mtb race in Thetford forest and we camped the night before. One lunatic suggested we all ride the course at night. It was a full moon but we only had a couple of bike light and a few petzl head torches but set off any way. Great hilarity ensued.

There was a really steep drop so the line came to a halt and the bloke in front of me took his left foot out of the clips/spd. Unbeknown to him he had stopped to the right of a deep tyre track left by trail bikes and his left foot went into this. He had no idea it was there and expected his foot to hit solid earth, but instead it kept on going and he fell to the left and then down another bank that had loads of bushes and brambles in.

All we saw and heard was an "Aaaaargh!" as this light disappeared down the bank into the darkness.

    Re: Night riding

Got my Hope HID and Joystick for the helm!

Night riding certainly is a great laugh, though can be quite nasty if you dont know the trails!

Might try and get back out for a night ride myself!
