does he pronounce it slightly different?
edit: if Karun doesnt make it in F1, which i hope he does he would make an excellent addition to the commentator lineup his walk around the Lotus garage was a perfect blend of knowledge and being cheeky

Absolutly cracking race though, lots of overtaking and entertainment. Mostly down to the tires and balls though.
Some almighty takeoff from Petrov, he seemed ok at the time, walked away but there really was some force behind him when he took off.
Kinda odd to see Hamilton just start to fall backwards when he changed tires though, must have got a fualty batch or wrong tire pressures or somthing. As soons as he stuck them on he was going backwards.
Quite pleased the next one is only a week away though. F1 in the morning followed by BTCC at Donington
+1 on seeing Karun get to F1, we've not seen what he can do properly in a car yet so it would be great to see him get a drive with a reasonable team. F1 is more and more about who's backing you rather than talent for many drivers on the fringes.
I thought my fantasy F1 might look a bit better this time round having Vettel and Hiedfeld. But it seems i'm no different to before
That Damn Rubens and Nico holding me back.... Suprised Mercedes arn't a bit faster.....
Indeed. There was a very memorable pit walk a few years back. As Martin walked away he turned to camera and said "He said 'Ranking'.. definitely 'Ranking'..". Eric Boullier's pronunciation of 'sheet' was also quite amusing last year, but Jake didn't handle it with anything like Martin's cheeky charm.

Nerf into the wall moments after heading out, I thought?
Stuck closed it what they're designed to do if they fail. From a mechanism point of view they cannot stick open. The problem with Mercedes wasn't the DRS as such, more that the Mercedes system was causing the rear wing to stall. It wasn't the DRS system failing, more how long the air flow was taking to settle once the wing was closed.
what an amazing race. best race ever
Dunno about "ever", but it's certainly an improvement over recent years.
To nail my colours to the mast, after a number of years (well, decades) as an ardent fan, I'd given up on F1 in recent years, for several reasons, not least that it had become increasingly (to me at least) BORINGGGG!!!!
However, on advice from a friend, I watched (without much enthusiasm for the idea, I admit) the Chinese race, to find it MUCH better. There was actually a fair bit of racing.
And quite a bit of actual overtaking. Shock horror.
For my taste, there's still too much emphasis on strategy and pit lane shenanigans, but it was a vast step in the right direction. I may just have to start watching again.

Just explained a mystery to me. I was wondering how some teams' DRS activation causes the plane to go horizontal, while others like the McLaren don't. Turns out there isn't a maximum angle change, but a maximum gap, so shorter planes can have a larger change in angle than longer planes. But they loose aero efficiency for being shorter. Interesting.
LOL...
anyway I think seb already has this title in the bag saddly, unless mclaren aka lewis can get some upgrades working. His just walking away with it at the moment.
The racing has been fantastic this season, DRS has worked better then expected easily. Hope they dont get rid of it. I'll be intrested in seeing where they put the drs zone at monaco though, surely the only place is the start/finish straight. Through the tunnel would surely be to dangerous?
It was widely reported in motorsport press that the FIA were considering banning the use of DRS at Monaco. I think by what Rubens was saying that the F1 drivers were pushing this idea. FIA have backtracked now though and allowed it. No clues as to where the DRS zone is but with the ability to open it anywhere in the other sessions Rubens was pointing out the tunnel would be dangerous too.

I'm still in 2 minds about DRS. Australia we hardly saw it effective at all, Malaysia and China may have just got it right and in Turkey is was far too easy for cars to over take. Still needs work but i'm sticking with it having 'potential'
IT's a bit of a shame Vettel seems to be running away with it though, got nothing against him but come the last 3 races he might well have already won it. The fight could really do with Mclaren taking a step forward or Mercedes. Or a few Vettel DNFs. We're always looking at the battles from 2nd backwards. Lets hope that part of F1 gets better as the season goes on.
I think the problem with DRS in Australia was really the location of it, if you had it after turn 12 to 13 I think you'ld see it being a lot more useful. I'm sure they'll consider stuff like this next season really, its all a bit of an unknown.
Totally agree with you in the second part, though I doubt it'll be Mercedes making it to the top.
I think somewhere between Australia and Sepang was ideal. Yes, at Melbourne it didn't make for much overtaking into turn 1, but as a result of the following car being far closer at turn 1 than he otherwise would have been, it made for some cracking action around the rest of the track, particularly through turns 3, 4 and 5.
That's what I want from DRS. I don't want a push-to-pass button - I want it to give drivers the chance to have a go, and nothing more.
The types are making more of a difference than DRS..last GP is was of little to no use
