HDD Activity

Hi all, I have recently bought a N1200 and have the power on all the time.

What I have noticed is that randomley through out the day and night the blue HDD light goes on (solid) and I can hear activity of the disk. This blue light stays on for about 10 minutes. At the time the blue light goes on, no other devices on my network are powered on, so no requests are being made to the N1200.

Is anyone able to tell me what the reason for this light and the disk activity is? is it nromal for this to happen, or is this an issue?

Dear Sir,

Following check list for your reference:
1. Does iTunes enabled, it is possible system rescan the file to update the play list.
2. Does Media Server enabled, it is also system would rescan the file too.
3. Any Download task running?
4. Or remove the netwrok cable to verify any connection make the HDD running.
5. Download the CONF.BIN while the HDD LED solid for us analysis for you from http://esupport.thecus.com
SYSTEM->CONFIG MGMT->DOWNLOAD->CONF.BIN
6. Following N1200 latest beta version firmware V1.00.08.3 for your reference:

I checked and it had ITunes and the Media Server enabled. So I suppose that must have been the reason.

Now I only have the media Server enabled, hence it will still scan...but it is very annoying as it makes so much noise and always happens when I sit in that room, so I suppose it happens after short intervals through out the day and night.

Does anyone know if there is a method to configure how often it scans for new content?
