the graphics cards are a mine field ..... have a look round online - the 8800gt is the newest card out and probably the best selling at the moment.....buit the gtx is the more powerful one.....

either card is going to make your old 7600gt look like it from the dark ages....

you can look at this post - HERE
have a couple of comparsion for differnet graphics card i found on hexus....

    hope this helps

Actually Mark, the 8800GTS G92 is the newest card out
This has been benchmarked a few times now versus the GTX and the GTS G92 is at least on a par, if not slightly more powerful.
The GT lags behind both of them.

The benchmarks you have linked above, are all synthetic and not true readings from a benchmark performance.

Thanks again Blitzen, I appreciate you helping out on this.

    So, lets re-jig spec to a 8800GTS G92.

Also, will I need a 620W power supply?

I think also becuase of the low price, ill pop a DVD RW burner in the machine as well - just so I can get the machine up and running as soon as its delivered. I can worry about popping my own hardware in at a later date.

Nope....a 620W PSU is overkill but will be good if the budget stretches that far.

A good 500W+ PSU with at least 34A on the 12V will be more than enough.
Brands such as Enermax/Corsair(although not at £60+)/Antec/PC P&C are all what i would aim for. Skimp on the PSU and you will live to regret it....unfortunately your components probably wont.

ok, if you recommend 650, then ill put it on the list.
Need to re-compile a spec list and see what the damage is...

Sorry for this comment YoYo, but you dont sell a 500W+ PSU that i would spend money on.

Everything else is good though so maybe a 'shop around' for this component would be the best bet.
