General Election 2010: who did you vote for?

There's been plenty of discussion on the merits of the various parties contesting for parliament, but now that it's election day, it'd be interesting to know who you've voted for or intend to vote for.

Once you've placed your vote in the above poll, it would also be interesting to hear the decisions behind your choice - so please feel free to share them in this thread.

Re: General Election 2010: who did you vote for?

    No poll!

However I voted tory as I believe that hard work deserves reward.

I can never vote for Labour or LibDem as I cannot be paid off or bought and wish to be as self sufficent as possible.

In terms of this election you have to decide on two rather nasty human traits. Envy or greed.

I pick greed as at least it gets things done and creates wealth.

Just to check Parm, but is the poll actually anonymous or does it tie to our username, cos if it's not isn't there a law about collecting data on people's actual vote (against polling against their intended vote?)

Need, "Its a secret ballot so I am not telling you option". However actually they are all trackable, so they can find out who voted for whom, however they claim not to.... Always wondered if that meant it really was secret.

I rather like the second one with Mandelson as the Undertaker.

    Voted

Though whoever's signed up to "can vote, but didn't" should at the very least go and spoil their ballot... If you don't vote you have no right to complain about anything in Britain.

For me it would be wonderful if Labour came third in the race. Perhaps that would finally wipe that smug grin off Gorden Brown's face, and confirm his role in history as "worst prime minister ever". I rather like the idea of a Conservative governement with a liberal opposition or in fact vice-versa. (Just the former seems more likely)

Re: General Election 2010: who did you vote for?

I would suggest that SNP, which appears to be mysteriously missing, is added to the Plaid vote and, if nobody objects, I (or Parm) will amend the poll accordingly.

My logic is that they are both nationalist parties and have been working together, and seeing as 10 appears to be the maximum number of poll options, it's about the best I can come up with.

As for how I voted (or will if I do), I'm not saying. Some of you will probably be capable of guessing who I won't be voting for, and could take a shot at who I will, but you'll never know for sure. Life's a bitch, ain't it.
