Considering how history will hopefully remember Blair as a warmonger who down right lied to get away with his goals.....

Its a pretty tough challenge to be worse, and I think he has done an admirable job. The gap between the rich and the poor is wider than it has ever been, property prices are at an all time high, with a general trend for 10% year on year, un-employment is higher than ever, even after they re-defined it. The NEETs are plentiful.

But lets not forget that Thatcher who erm cut spending that we couldn't afford. More people will remember her as a monster. So sad, so sad.

    Conservative.

    Decisions in short summary for...

Unlike Labour, being realistic on cutting our deficit and trimming the fat from our over-bloated public sector. Also unlike the Lib dems i do not want us to be in the Euro or scrap trident. I feel many, mainly the young "tv trash xfactor mind set brainwashed" are only voting for a "tv personality" as PM, not for the parties policies which is insane, because lets be honest many of the lib dem policies are ludicrous.

Do not get me wrong, i am not totally enamoured by "Dave and George" but i also recognise that i am not voting for a figure head (or a tv personality - i.e clegg) but for a parties policies and the other ministers behind them. In the end I have faith in other ministers in the background behind the figureheads in the conservative party. People such as Kenneth Clarke who i remember as a successful chancellor helped guide us out of recession, ran the UKs economy well and halved our then deficit (only to have to hand it across to "you know who" at nulabour to be wrecked)

People do need to wake up and be realistic in realising the crap we are in and have to dig ourselves out off, and i can only really see the party i have voted for (from my experience) being realistic in achieving this.

I must admit to being surprised at how the poll is turning out. Not at all what I expected. Seems that the Tory vote is the support that dare not speak its name.

Re: General Election 2010: who did you vote for?

I voted Labour because although I am a Conservative supporter there was no way that they would win in my constituency. Instead it is between Labour and the SNP, and although the SNP winning would mean one less Labour seat, and I guess a better position for the Conservative Party nationally, I voted to keep the SNP from winning because that is more important to me. Just.

I'm not one of 'those' people & only watched 20mins of the first debate.
I actually checked the polices then used http://voteforpolicies.org.uk/ which showed me I agreed with 55% Lib Dem, 11% 4 other parties' policies (rounding fail)
That's what I based my decision on (voting after work btw)

Let's be frank, all parties have insane policies which is why it's so close!

A systems identification term, but my usage wasn't clear.

People are making a knee jerk over-reaction, which is under-damped as we try to settle on a political equilibrium. Too many of the Lib Dem policies are pure smoke and mirror headline grabbers. VAT on new builds.... wtf.... wtf... How anyone could vote for them who ever wants/or their children to have a decent home.

I haven't really heard anything from them that substantive at all - it's all 'look at us we're *new* politics' rather than concrete well thought out ideas. It goes down well with younger voters and those disallusioned with the system to give them credit where due but I don't think it's a good basis to let them run the country. Like others i'm voting on party policy rather than figurehead.
