    Exclamation ParcelForce nightmare (Help needed)

Hi to everyone on here (I am new) so this is also a welcome message.

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the Parcel-force website?

I sent a parcel with Parcel-force 48 in December and arrived to the recipient the next day - This is what the information displayed on the track and trace function on their website showed at least for more than one week. It also showed information of the time it had been delivered and who it was signed by. It was an inland parcel and so, not going abroad.

Suddenly, that information disappeared and now says that delivery is in 'progress' for the past two weeks. I called Parcel-Force who could not give me an answer as to why this was, so had to make several calls to different postal depots so as to gather evidence that the parcel had been sent and signed for. The depot that delivered the parcel, had found evidence of it being delivered through
their records, but could not send it to me until they received a fax from another source that provides
    the signature of the recipient.

They were meant to call me back (twice) so have had to make three calls back to this depot to collect the information so that I can get my refund from a seller on eBay who sold me faulty goods worth £80.

Ebay will not issue me the refund until they have evidence of the parcel being delivered, so have emailed them explaining that there are technical issues with the Parcel-force website and that the information is not correct. I had also supplied the contact details of the depot who are dealing with the matter so that they can communicate with one-another, but don't know if they will or not?

I am very frustrated because there is proof that the seller received the returned goods through the resolution center and emails between me and them, but this in itself, is not taken into account by eBay.

What actions can I take if eBay refuse to refund me in the instance that the depot are not able to get their act together quick enough and supply evidence of the parcel being sent or if this is not adequate enough evidence if it is supplied? - The Parcel-force track and trace service is clearly defunct and complaining about it through their website, does not resolve anything and just get a series of automated responses!

I hear where you're coming from, but don't agree.

A lot of our best, longest and most respected members came here initially looking for help on something or other ... and stayed. As for the wrong forum, yes it is, but it's an easy mistake to make and by definition, new members aren't terribly familiar with our way of doing things. Sure, the rules do say "no questions in here" but it's not hard to miss, particularly if the new member is not especially familiar with forums.

This is, after all, supposed to be a "Welcome" forum, and that, OilSheikh, wasn't an especially welcoming welcome.

While we get a lot of spammers, and they're not all easy to spot, and I'll ban obvious ones on the spot, everyone else gets the benefit of the doubt, and especially in this forum, should be welcomed.

So welcome to Hexus, shikiraclare. But OilSheikh is right in that this section isn't the best place for questions, and you'll get more response if you copy your question to a more suitable place.

    Re: ParcelForce nightmare (Help needed)

If eBay had arranged delivery through Parceforce then I'd expect eBay to sort out any problems. Obviously that's not the case, you're Pacelforce's client in this instance, the whole eBay issue is completely separate - I'd say you're going to have to deal with it yourself.

If you don't get any joy with Parcelforce you'll need to follow their complaints procedure. Did you insure the item?
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

You'll find Eboy work on technical details. If you have proof of delivery then they will side with you.
If you don't have proof and the other side claims not to have it then they will side with them.
Can't you get the original proof of posting? Can you get Parcelfarce to fax you some details...at least proving the destination address and proof it was posted.

    Thank-you for all your replies.

Firstly, please accept my apologies for posting the topic in the wrong forum: I needed immediate assistance with my issue and, thought that it might be best to start this in the introduction section.

    - Didn't mean to cause offence to anyone.

I shall have to study the forum site a lot more because although I am well read; don't find following instructions too well!

Thanks to everyone who has so far welcomed me to the forum.

Don't worry...it's all part of the rich experience of the internet....
You have to develop a thick skin about these things (a general comment not critcial :-) )...you were probably the next person to post after a proper spammer had been doing their work....
All points of view are welcome.....as you've found out.
Welcome aboard and hope we've been helpful
