    Now you're just humouring me aren't you, anyway I have a few more;

    The focus is all to cack on the last one, I think I was a little too excited

    Pretty impressive caterpillar, it rears up when provoked and curls its head over to reveal the above "eyes"

    We have sports day this week and we've all had to sign disclaimers to allow people to take pictures - completely ridiculous in my opinion but I can see why.

    Picked up a Canon 30D today with a 70 - 200mm F4 L lens

    This was a test pic taken this evening.

    Forgive the flare and the noisy foreground

    Yesterday evening I was lucky enough for a local BMX park to let me in an pester the riders. I had a great time and it's now going to be a regular thing not only at this club but I have a couple other locations booked to visit with this team so I'm chuffed.

    Here's the first one I've managed to have a play with:

    Next visit I intend on trying to nail some shutter drag flash technique.

    It was my new EOS400D camera and it's funny, you can think you have all the settings in your head until the action starts to roll and you turn into this mindless oaf unable to work your camera. I had this for the first ten minutes and even resorted to a quick run of shots on sports mode which were even worse! But it wasn't long and I had the settings where I wanted them and I was able to concentrate on being creative and tweaking them from there as I went.

    Sunset outside the park that evening was a bonus:

    "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."

    -- Albert Einstein
