Not to diminish your fine gig shots, I love them. Recognising venues with good lighting and using them to your advantage, is part of being a photographer, as well as understanding and having the ability to use the available light in any situation.
If Bob isn't adding any lighting effects including colours in pp (which I don't think he is) then shooting predominantly at one venue is inevitably going to start looking familiar, which they now are to my eye. So despite it being different bands, with very individual personalities, the portfolio (what I see here) starts to lack progression as it has no spectrum other than the house lighting. Just like a photo should have composition, so should a portfolio or indeed subject you might be personally studying. Not only does it keep it interesting for you but gives movement to your work and prevents an otherwise talented body of art from becoming meaningless.
