Why anyone is talking about 'bug free' BIOSes is well beyond me. The PC-BIOS is an antiquated design that has been forked more times than I've had hot dinners. Bending its codebase into a usable bootstrap binary for each new motherboard is a task I do not envy, and maintaining it is almost twice as bad. Bugs are to be expected, especially as the complexity of the BIOS increases.
I'm afraid that talking about bug free BIOSes is a fantasy, chaps, best put it out of your minds. If mobo manufacturers were to switch to EFI or some alternate bootstrapping mechanism then things will improve vastly, but before that, forget it.
Abit does a great job on motherboards, it's just a shame they've been slacking off on new designs. I wish them all the success in the future.
