I am sure we will all know more when and if Abit have something to announce officially.

The two websites mentioned are not provided.

The post on OCworkbench is from someone with 50,000 posts, is he/she official or just bound to his computer!!!

I am sure Abit would be interested to know.

    Peter, you should know better

By the way, IX48GT3 and IP43 will be with distributors next week, strange way of doing business when you are pulling out of the market!!
Its blatantly obvious that there arent going to be anymore ABIT boards (worth talking about).
The X48 boat has come and gone.
That surely means that any other future developments arent going to happen either.

Shame but ASUS here i come

Hmm. That puts me in a bit of a quandry. I was planning to order an IP35 Pro EX tomorrow but I'm not sure that's a good idea now.

    Re: Abit closing?

I suppose you're right. It just makes me uneasy buying something that I might not be able to get replaced in the case of a fault.

    Exclamation Re: Abit closing?

Still have some support from Abit? You must be joking...

I have a ABIT Bugal1ty FP-IN9 and i´m wainting 1 year for ABIT to fix the vCORE BUG.

So where is this support from abit???? My board have a huge BUG list in the BIOS development so how can Abit launch a bord with so many issues....

If ABIT have a bug free board around good for the owner, but for me i´m glad that Abit wont built boards anymore, pice of crap machinery because of Abit´s stupid fault´s...

    Regard´s

Thanks for your, um....constructive?...post. I can't even think of where to begin.

I guess we'll get this one out of the way first - a regard can not possess something. Your apostrophe is unnecessary. Oh, and waiting has only one 'n'; piece has an 'e' in it; and board has an 'a' in it. Yes, I know that's annoying, but if you're going to rant, do it with style.

Secondly, if you've been waiting a year, you don't have the most recent BIOS considering it was released 12/17/2007, well under a year ago. If you want to try it (v.16), you can get it here.

The IP35 Pro was a great board from the get-go that only got better with successive BIOS releases (mostly to address 45nm compatibility), so go pick up a new bug-free IP35 Pro XE (latest version of the Pro, which is out of production).

Lastly, apparently you missed it. They are still making boards; you are way late to this party.

    Thumbs up Re: Abit closing?

"...I can't even think of where to begin...." So don´t begin lol!

See my friend i´m not american and, unfortunatelly, it´s normal to me write some "wrong" word´s... I still learning English so dont waste your time with those details...

BIOS16??? Yes, i already use BIOS 16, and seens you missed the information that this BIOS16 don´t fix the vCORE BUG. You are way late to this party too.

You make a great sugestion, that i buy ANOTHER ABIT! Now one IP35. Why should i buy one Abit after the COMPLETLY LET DOWN with my FP-IN 9 SLI ?

Abit sold me a defective product, i´m waiting a year for a solution, and now you want that i buy another Abit?

Man this IP35 Pro XE must be a great motherboard, but after what Abit did to the FP-IN9 owners i will think 400 times before buy another Abit/Bugal1ty series motherboard.

Take care man you are a nice person.

Unfortunately I can't help you there. You just indicated you had a BIOS over a year old, so I was trying to get you updated. Sorry that one didn't work for you. If you don't want to buy another abit, hey, that's your business. I was just suggesting a non-buggy abit board.

you won't find 1 bug free 650i SLI chipset mobo.

I don't think that there will be any more abit/Fatal1ty mobos - no solid info but just a feeling.
The Fatal1ty branding seemed to put off as many people as it attracted.
