Yes, the one marked as IP35(-E).
I've got an Abit AB9 Pro, been using it for a couple of years with a E6400 processor.
I want to upgrade the processor and mistakenly assumed I could just buy a 1066 FSB processor and it would all be fine...
So, what I want to know is - Is there a BIOS which supports the E7500 processor or have I just wasted ~£100?
I have now thanks, and it does work. Was previously concerned as I had only really heard that it worked for older processors, ie ones released about q1 2008 but the E7500 was released q1 2009.
Still finally got round to testing the beta bios 23 and it does work. Woohoo!
Here's an Abit IP35 and IP35-E BIOS fix. It's based on the last beta BIOS (for the Intel E0 stepping). The fixed issue: VT-x is disabled after resuming from S3 sleep, if there ever was a system reboot/reset, before entering standby. I have tested it on my IP35-E board, but I can't be held responsible for any kind of damages that may occur.

Download: removed, check the generic fix
Edit: A generic fix that can be applied to several Abit boards can be found here, see the last reply:

i have the regulate abit ip35 not bro or e and i was considering upgrading cpu to Core 2 Quad Q9650, i have 2 questions, first will that cpu work correctly? and is there a new bios update for that board?
thank you.
Iron Fist,
I currently have Xeon 3350 (same as Q9450) and with the newest unofficial bios it works perfectly. So I'd assume any other dual or quad CPU will work fine. If it can handle a Xeon, it can do anything
The unofficial bios previously helped me with DC E6300. And, from what I read here & elsewhere, many other users with E5400 and similar "new" CPUs.
I wanted to upgraded my Abit FP IN9 SLI and e6320 CPU to an e7600 CPU. Thinking that all 1066 FSB Wolf-dale CPU's would be supported I purchased a new e7600 CPU.
Once installed, the new CPU booted fine and the ID was shown correctly in original BIOS 16, however the CPU temps shot through the roof to 94c causing the Alarm to continually sound. I disabled the alarm, and managed to boot Windows 7 64bit, I then ran the Windows Experience Index and the CPU score went down from 4.9 for my e6320 CPU to 4.6 for the e7600 CPU. Checking the BIOS again I saw that the CPU was only running at 1600 MHz and CPUz confirmed this also. I thought this might be C1E so put the system under load, but it made no difference.
After reading this thread I've decided to try BIOS 18 from the list at the start. It appears people with e7400 and e7500 cpu's have had success, which is very encouraging considering the BIOS is from 2008 and the e7600 cpu wasn't released until 2009 Q2. Let's hope the Intel EO stepping support solves the issue. I'll report back when tested.
Abit FP IN9 and e7600.
Flashed BIOS to v18 from this thread and it worked perfectly. The e7600 cpu has RO stepping as shown in cpuZ and it works correctly, with temps at a nice and cool 32c rising to 42c underload. WEI now shows 6.6 for the 3.06Ghz cpu from Q2 2009.
Thanks to the guys for posting the beta bios and thanks everyone who posted on this thread it saved my bacon!
